Mesh Simplification with Feature Detection is a new and efficient 3D mesh simplification method for Web Graphics. It currently contains two programs, the generator and viewer. All the codes are written in Java^TM Programming Language, and the 3D graphics rendering is done by jGL - 3D Graphics Library for Java, so both of the programs can be run on Java^TM2 platform and the previous version of Java^TM. You can use the generator to simplify unstructured 2-manifold 3D meshes while changing some of the parameters. Or, use the viewer to see the simplified 3D model first, then reconstruct the original model by rolling the scrollbar. If you have any problem, please mail to robin@is.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp.

The compilers on each platform are Java2 SDK, Standard Edition, v 1.4.1_01 ( or Java SDK 1.1.8_008 ) on SUN Solaris 7/8/9 and Microsoft Windows 98/NT/2K/ME/XP with Cygwin 1.3.17.
